My Daddy-Ira Lee Shepard

This Friday Photo Flashback is in memory of my father Ira. He was born April 16, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away August 6, 1985 in Clovis, California. This is my dad when he was a baby. I love the baby buggy.
This is by far my most favorite picture of my dad. I am not sure how old he is here but I am thinking he is probably 9 or 10.

This is a picture of my parents on their wedding day, March 24, 1958.

This is a picture of my dad in his uniform. He was in the Air Force for 20 years. This picture was probably taken in the late 60's. This is how I pretty much remember him looking.

This is the most fabulous family picture around. Sadly, I think it was our last one. This was taken about March or April of 1978. It was after I had my breast reduction and before my brother, David, left on his 2 year mission for our church.

Wonderful pictures. I love the way they use to put color on them. Very sweet post, sorry you lost him at such a young age.

Cool old photos. My Mum's wedding pictures are "re-coloured" also. I guess that was the thing before polaroid. Rosemary

The pictures of your Dad are great. It made me think of my grandfather (surrogate Dad).

These are fantastic family memories, and the way you describe them is so sweet, and warm to the heart. I've been looking for old pictures of strollers. I was wondering if you would mind if I copy the one of your dad's. Sure would appreciate it. The oldest one I've found so far is 1969 when my daughter was born. Also, thanks for stopping by, and I'm already a follower.

Oh my! I love all those photos of your family! by the way, I have a baby buggy (I think they called them 'perambulators' then) that looks very similar to yours. It was made in Leominster, MA...a long time ago.

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Those are all great photos! I think the last family photo we have with our mom was also at Olan Mills, back in 1986!
