Sundays With Karen

This is a new feature that I am starting today. When my MIL was here she told us about a Journal in a Jar. One of her daughters gave her a jar with all kinds of questions in it. You are suppose to pull out one question and answer it in your journal. So I decided to take 1 question each Sunday and answer it on a video. Hope you enjoy it.

I know I need to look more enthusiastic but I was nervous for some reason.  At least my whole face was in the video this time.

What are some things that make you happy?

Fun "jar questions" idea! And you did a great job (I do NOT like to be in front of a camera! When our son was representing Georgia for Children's Miracle Network, we were asked numerous times to speak in front of a camera...oh!!! I, very, very reluctantly, did what interviews they asked us to do...I would much rather be the one behind the camera :o)

Blessings & Aloha!
I love babies and children are sooo fun to listen to (ya never know what they'll say or think! haha) ...And yes, those with Down's syndrome seem to have such a sweetness and caring way about them...And I love to listen to stories of those growing up in the 30's and 40's.

What a great idea Karen!! I loved it! Your 5 things tell alot about you! You are a very kind person! If you love blogging and you love children and you love those with down's syndrome then you must check out this blog if you haven't already:

She didn't know she was having a child with down's syndrome until she was born. The baby is hands down the cutest baby I have ever seen!

Karen, What an awesome idea! A Jar Journal would make a great Christmas gift, too...thoughtful, creative, personal, and still affordable.

You're awesome for doing videos...I need to follow your lead. :)

And on a totally shallow note, I love your top, the color looks great on you! Love your necklace, and just your whole style in general.

Hugs!
Michele

Karen,
I love this new addition to your blog. I thought you did great and were very comfortable by the end and it was a very nice way to get insight into the lovely person that you are.

Karen, I love this idea!!! I just grabbed your button so I'll never miss a Sunday. It was almost like having you in my home, thank you for coming.

Aren't down syndrome babies adorable and so so lovable too? We're not the only ones who feel that way either thankfully. I love blogging too - otherwise we never would have met. There are a lot of nice people here in Blogsville. Big Smile. See you next Sunday!

I really enjoyed watching this and I'm already looking forward to your next episode. What a great idea! I also was influenced by Helen Keller, and also Anne Frank. My grandma taught me about both these great women, and gave me books to read about their lives.

...I always enjoy your "take" on things, I especially like your clever titles. I don't get in to read blogs very often but when I do I always enjoy yours. Hope your summer is going well.
Love,
Robin
