The Word Is Enjoy

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So, I am going to imitate a few people out there in Blogland. Today I went to my friend Mary's blog and she did a post about her word for the year. Her word was nurture. After a few minutes of thought, I came up with my word for the year. I chose ENJOY. I feel this is really something that I need to work on.

Enjoy means: have or use with joy; be happy with; take pleasure in; have a good time.

I like this. I really need to take pleasure in the things I do and not worry too much about everything or what is coming next. I really need to enjoy the moment I am in. I tried this today and it made all the difference. My day went well and I feel so much better today.

So here is to ENJOY.

What a perfect word!!! And a beautiful picture, too. It's so easy to get consumed by the planning and the chores and the "what if"s and the detours, and then lose our ability to ENJOY things both big and small. I love your word, and need to remember it myself ....

Perfect!! I need to do the same thing this year. I have vowed to be "present" this year....in every moment so that I too can "enjoy". I'm tired of wishing my life away as I've been doing for far too long. Great post, Karen! ENJOY your day!

hugs,
Candace

Great word!

A bad trap to fall in is "living in the past", and "hoping for the future". I am guilty. I will try to enjoy the day I am in. Live in the here and now.

Good word for the year. I guess my word is similar although I don't really have a word. I just want to laugh more. So often I find myself stifling that, like I'm not suppose to be all that happy. This year, if I feel like laughing I will, unless I'm at church, or it will hurt someone's feelings.
