Sweet Kindness

Sunday as I walked into church I encountered a very sweet act of kindness.  Karl is a dear man that is my mother's age.  My mother and he went to high school together so we have this "special" bond.  Every Sunday when I come into the chapel, I tap him on the head with the program.  As I was just about to do it, Karl got up and started to go out.  I said, "Why are you getting up?"  (I thought maybe he had seen me coming)  He said ever so sweetly, "I got up to say hello to you and give you a hug."

That really touched my heart and made my day.

The world needs more sweet people like Karl.

A LITTLE UPDATE:  I am doing a lot better than I was, but still have a little ways to go.
