Thoughts About Happy

A lot has been said about this little 5 letter word. A lot of money has been spent in its pursuit of it. Many famous people have spoken about it. Books have been written about it. What is it? It is happy. What does it mean to you and how do you get it? Here are some of my thoughts on the subject.

I think true happiness comes from living the way you know in your heart you should live.  It comes from having a great attitude and being grateful for what you have.

What is it to you?

Good thoughts on happiness Karen. I also think people have different ways of looking at things. You know the glass is half empty or half full. However, because of our faith I think we can always have joy despite trials in life. After all, we know the end of the story and we're on the winning side. :)

Blessings and love,
Debbie

For me, it's my family and the gospel.

By the way, here's another one:

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

Some of the happiest people I know seem to have the most challenges.

Excellent examples. Happy is not easy to come by for many of us. I will hear my daughter say "Mom...be happy" and years ago my husband would send me flowers and the card would say "Be Happy" I didn't realize how unhappy I can be. Yet if he would have send me flowers with the car reading "I will love you for as long as I live" that would have made me happy :)

Love all those quotes! I also think that trying to be happy is kind of overated. Being content, full of gratitude for what we do have, and try not to be so focused on ourselves but help others in any way we can brings a peace to our lives that is true happiness. Hope that makes sense. Mimi
