Seeing The Good

I started out to write a post about my reflections of 2013 but I have ended going this way instead.  After mulling it around in my mind and seeing other blog posts, it prompted me to set this as my word of the year. (I wasn't going to do that either) So here is what led me to this.

Without going into too much detail, I had an awful first half of the year.  Fragile X and other things really kicked my butt. (sorry but I don't know how to spell the medical term)  I got to a point last year that I felt a force trying to get me to put my face in the bathtub water.  But I survived !!!!!!!!!

As I have reflected on 2013 I found the good things rising to the surface in my mind.  I had many good things happen.  Of course the best things were the births of Sara and Sarah.  Those two little girls really grabbed and touched my heart.  I totally fell in love.

While these good things were rising in my mind, I felt better, more grateful , blessed and happy.  I really do have a good life and I cannot complain.  So that is what led me to choose this theme for my word of the year.  I even have a book that I am writing down something good that happened each day.

So my dear friends, I wish for you to have a wonderful and blessed new year where the good will rise to the surface.

Love your "theme" word for this year! Glad you didn't put your face in the water in the bathtub. Here's to 2014!

Bravo bravo for surviving the hard times in 2013 . . . We have to walk through the rain to get to the rainbow, you know? I love that you are going to embrace the 'happy' for the New Year. I have a good feeling about 2014 for both of us!

Great idea to have a notebook for your good thoughts. It certainly helps me to dwell on the good and try to ignore the bad. When you write things down you can go back and read all the good when you're feeling down. Hope your 2014 is your best year yet. Mimi
