Please Tell Me Your Secrets

To all my blogging friends old and new, please tell me your secrets. I want to know all that you are willing to tell me. There are so many things but I will list some of the top ones.
1. How do you use the new blog editor? Every time I try to use it, disaster strikes.
2. How do you write some words and then put a line through it?
3. How do you play those "games" on the different days of the week? Like Friday Follow, Post-it Note Tuesday etc.
4. How do you give blog awards and how do you get blog awards? I just love them. They are so cute.
5. How do you get more people to read and or follow your blog.
6. Really my #1 big question is: How do you get people to comment? There are some blogs I see and they get tons. I would like that too.
Please help by commenting and telling me all that you know. Because, inquiring minds really want to know. Thanks for all your help.

:) Its funny that you asked about the awards! I just got my first the other day. I have a post about them scheduled for tomorrow and I tagged you in it! So you actually have 2 awards coming your way tomorrow!!!

I'm using the new editor I think. No real problems with it so far. But w/ that version they have a button for the words w/ lines thru them. All you have to do is highlight the word you want and then click the button. Otherwise you have to get a html code to make it work (which is a total pain).

The way I've found my followers (which isn't many) is just reading lots of peoples blogs. and following the ones that I like. I try to leave comments for people and a lot of them will follow back and leave comments.

There's also this site that's kind cool when it comes to tips and connecting w/ other bloggers http://www.thesitsgirls.com/ you should try it out

The post-it notes, I have a link on my post-it note posts that should take you to a page that can explain it better than I could. It would probably make no sense if I tried. lol

I'm still very new at this but these are some of the things I've learned so far. :) hope some of these help and that I made sense and didn't just ramble on and on! :)

Have you joined SITS yet?

http://www.thesitsgirls.com/

That's how I gained most of my readers.

You could also go to Blogs that you like or think are like yours and pick out a few of their commenters. Visit their blogs and leave comments. Invite them to come and visit.

You could link up to Friday Follow. This Friday, come over to my Blog and click on the Friday Follow button. Sign yourself up to Mr. Linky!

Those are the best tips that I have to offer!

Sorry, but I don't really know the answers to any of those questions. I love the new blog editor though. It's not a lot different from the old one, it just allows you to do more. Just put your cursor over the emblems on top and it will tell you what they do, and then just play around with it. That's what I do. There is still much I don't know, but I keep trying.

Hi! I'm new to blogging, too...so I feel your pain, so to speak. First, if you haven't already, join Blog Frog! It's a community of bloggers of all different sorts (mommy bloggers, creative bloggers, young & old bloggers, etc). There are different forums and you can ask questions and meet new people. The more active you are, the more traffic it will drive to your blog.

I write my posts on Blogger, and when you are writing a new post, there is a button that is ABC with a line through it. That's how you strike through what you have written.

There are several bloggers out there that host memes (those games), you just have to find them. Check out Our Daze in the Desert (only blog I can think of off the top of my head). Participating in these will also drive traffic to your blog.

Awards are given to you from other bloggers. Once you make new blogging friends, they will come :)

I'm looking at your blog, and I don't see the option to follow it. Google Friend Connect gives people the option to follow. Maybe Google it to find out more about it? It automatically was there for me when I started my blog.

Comments also come with joining groups like SITS and getting more people to come to your blog. Visit lots of other blogs and leave comments. Most bloggers will respond by visiting your blog, too.

Hope this helps! I'm dropping by from SITS to say hello :)

It took me an extra long time to learn all this stuff, unlike some of the blogs I come across that seem to catapult themselves into immediate success. And I think I still have a ton to learn.

5. Participate in other blogs you love, leave comments, and keep writing good posts.
6. Join blog networks that fit your
most likely audience.
*** do what you love.
