Ain't She Sweet--Friday Photo Falshback

Okay, I am being brave here. This is me when I was in the 5th grade. Not sure what year but you can figure it out. I graduated from high school in 1977 and I am 50 now. It is too late to figure this out. Don't you just love the cat-eye glasses. Those were hot back then. This was my first pair of glasses. They met their untimely demise later on when they fell in an outhouse toilet in Shaver Lake. Sad day. Do you like the dress? I did. My mom made it for me.
Remember to be nice when you comment.

I think we all look the same when we look back at pictures. The kids today will also laugh at themselves someday when they look back. Thanks for sharing.

You are brave :) I wouldn't even know where to look for a photo of me at that age, though I'm sure my parent have piles of them!
Great post!!

I had a pair of glasses like those -- mine were pink, my favorite color then and now. And I think the picture is very sweet -- that is a fabulous, warm, happy smile!

New glasses in grade five can be devestating. You are smiling so proudly in your photo, I can see they didn't cramp you style one bit. I bet your Mum had alot to do with that. I bet you are alot like your Mum too, and that Daniel loves you as much as you love your Mum. Nice blog. FOund you thru Friday Follow. I'll enjoy coming by often. Rosemary

Found you through the over 40s sites. I'm 'a tad' older than you but I sure do remember those days of the glasses and home-made dresses. I had glasses like that but mine were lavender.....and I'm a redhead. Imagine!
Following your blog. Come visit me sometime.

I really thought I commented on your post last week! Oh well...sometimes I can't remember if I am coming or going!

I love your cat glasses...sorry to hear that they got lost in the Loo! I started wearing glasses when I was in 3rd grade, but don't remember getting that style.

Blessings & Aloha!
