Feeling Magenta

I guess it's about time I did a regular post. Sorry if it's a little down, but blogging about it helps me to get through it. Anyway, I have tons of feeling rolling around inside me and conflicting with each other. I hate that. I feel happy but I feel sad, I want to eat something but am not really hungry, I am just feeling blah today and I shouldn't be. I got to spend sometime with Daniel today. It was good to see him but sometimes it makes me sad because of the situation. I am not too behind at work, just a week of papers to grade and the report cards are almost finished. So what is wrong???

Have any of you ever felt this way and what have you done to get out of it?

I love the Golden Girls(I have all of the shows on DVD) Here is a part of an episode when Blanche explains feeling magenta to Dorothy. Start watching the video about 4:25. It is towards the end of the show.

Karen, I get where you are! I too have been kind of blah lately. Things are happening but I think the last year has finally caught up with me and I'm feeling it. Hang in there and let's encourage one another.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

It's the end of winter but spring's not here yet. It's good to see Daniel, but hard to leave. Work still awaits. Nothing life-altering, but nothing really joyful ... yup, we've all been there. Treat yourself to something this weekend, just for YOU ....

I was feeling "magenta" yesterday, sweet friend, so I can relate with what you were feeling. I hope today has been a better day for you. *hugs*

I like that saying, "Feeling magenta". I'm going to start using that. I hope your day got better after writing this. :) Somehow writing helps!

Karen,

I totally agree with what Mary said. And I'll go a step further...sometimes we need to do something completely out of the ordinary to shake ourselves out of funks. Lots of churches do a weekly supper night for people in need -- and you could offer yourself to volunteer...or something similar -- just my experience, but those sorts of things really help me. It's been a tough winter. Hugs & Love to you, Karen.

My Dad use to call that "the can't help its." Where you just don't feel right, but you don't know what to do about it either. I think it's all part of this earthly experience.

You are much too sweet to stay magenta for long.

Yes, I have felt that way many times. It's something you can't really pinpoint, but you just feel "down." I'll be praying for you, my friend!

I have definitely felt this way, and flowers are always a good antidote. Or just being outside. Or writing a blog post, like you just did.

Hope thing perk up for you soon!
