What To Say

Hi.  I am still here.  I am just never sure what to blog about sometimes.  Things have been going fine and I can't complain.  I have even had some thoughts about different things.  Here comes some of them.

Work is going well.  We have a new principal this year and she has been really nice.  As a staff we have needed time to heal after the last principal we had.  It is amazing how the feeling has gotten better on our campus.  Class sizes went up this year and it is amazing how much difference 7 kids can make.  But, I love all my kids and I don't know who I would send away if the class sizes went down.

I have been thinking about how powerful words are.  The can really lift you up or really knock you down.  Sometimes I think words hurt far more than some physical pain.  I also think it is amazing how we have taken words that once used to be something nice and have turned them into derogatory words.  Gay is one word that comes to mind.

My church is a big part of my life as are the people who are there.  My one friend from church is in the hospital after suffering a stroke.  Things aren't looking well right now for her and that makes me sad.  She is such a wonderful person and has helped me grow as person this last year or so.  She is always thinking and helping others.  We work together in Relief Society and I feel a big load on my shoulders without her.  Her name is Arva and please pray for her.

Friends are a valuable resource.  I have always been blessed with good friends in my life.  I am so glad of that.  I am so grateful for technology that keeps us close even when we are not together.  If I ever get rich, I am going to have a party where we can all be together in the same place.  It is kind of sad that I have more friends on the internet than I do in person.

Well, I guess that is enough for now.  I am amazed about how many thoughts on different things I have.  What are some of yours?

Karen is a very wise and caring person. She is also the world's best school teacher. Her students are very lucky.

So glad to hear things are going well for you this year and words need to be used thoughtfully but we all make mistakes at times, in anger, ignorance or flat out miscommunication. Sometimes we have tot learn to communicate better and resolve the hurt.

I too have more friend on the internet than in real life :(
We do need to get together. I
guess that's why people go to
BlogHer and other functions like
that :) I will pray for your friend at church.

I have more on the internet too, partly because I've moved though. I see my blog friends fairly frequently though. :)
