Resolutions: Do You Make Them?

As a new year begins many people tend to set goals and evaluate their life.  Well, I am no different than most people.  I always think about what I would like to accomplish for the upcoming year.  Most of the time I find myself doing well for about the first few days, then forget what I said I wanted to do.

This year things have changed.  I read a status of a friend of mine on Facebook.  She said she would be making weekly goals.  Talk about a revelation!  That was just the thing I needed.  It is great because it breaks things into small pieces and keeps things simple.  It also keeps me more focused on what I want to do.  It has been working great so far.

Here is my list for this upcoming week.
                                                          1.  Do something on a quilt each day.
                                                          2.  Read scriptures each day.
                                                          3.  Walk on the treadmill each day.
                                                          4.  Work in storage room.

I have these written down on a card with a chart to check off each day.  I feel confident that I will achieve my goals for the week.  Wish me luck.

Happy New Year and Happy Reaching All The Goals You Have Set.

I think it's all in the planning and writing down. I'm choosing one goal a month to work on....very simple things or else I will fail :)

This is a good idea...not as overwhelming to think of goals in weekly increments.

I never make resolutions because I can't ever keep them. The idea of smalls goals seem doable. I may need to break mine down even farther though and make them daily. I'm terrible at it. :)
